The Financial Planning Manager is responsible for leading the financial global finance planning and budgeting. This person will serve as a key business thought partner to the Business Market Unit planners. This role will report into the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, with strong visibility to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Financial Planning Manager will need to have strong stakeholder management skills and commercial acumen to succeed. He or she will also need to have a strong sense of accountability, urgency and ownership. Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up:
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Lead the financial planning for our 3 year, annual & quarterly P&L forecasts.
- Work closely with team in the management of HQ and international Business Market Units (BMU) budgeting and planning processes.
- Facilitate strategic planning discussions with international BMU leaders to enhance budgeting accuracy and improve financial performance metrics, such as Per Restaurant Operating Profit (PerOp), Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG), General & Administrative (G&A) and Net New Units (NNUs).
- Collaborate closely with the control team to streamline period-end reporting processes and enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Develop compelling presentation to communicate forecasts results to the KFC Leadership team and the Yum Corporate planning team.
- Implement best-in-class FP&A processes to ensure the accuracy of financial forecasts.
- Leverage digital dashboards and other advanced tools to enhance data visualization and decision-making capabilities.
Financial analytics & transformation
- Financial metrics analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial metrics, including trend analysis and variance assessment, to provide actionable recommendations for optimizing financial performance.
- Franchisee analysis: in collaboration with the strategy team, assist in evaluating the health of franchisees, analyzing pre/post-acquisition performance.
- Business transformation: Identify and assess the financial implications of organizational changes within the KFC Global division, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Strategic initiatives: Analyze the impact of the strategic initiatives into our forecasts and make recommendation to optimizing allocation of financial resources.
- Finance modernization: Lead finance modernization effort and associated change management within the KFC division, e.g. Global Planning system.
Team leader
- Support FP&A Director to grow the team, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate and build credibility with international Business Market Unit finance leaders to gain support for analysis and recommendations.
- Facilitate cohesion and a sense of unity among stakeholders within the finance function, fostering a shared identity as "one finance" to enhance collaboration and effectiveness.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Yum Corporate planning, Tax, Legal, and Control teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration on key initiatives and projects.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Exceptional internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, insightful thinking, and desire to have a large impact on our organization.
- Undergraduate Degree from accredited 4-year university in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years relevant work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis role, finance, strategic or management consulting.
