What You’ll Be Serving Up:
The Director of KFC Training leads the global strategy for restaurant training and capability building across KFC. This role is responsible for shaping a consistent, high-impact training and capability framework that aligns with the brand’s purpose, values, and business goals across all regions.
Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up:
Global Training Strategy
- Own and evolve the global restaurant training strategy for a variety of roles, including team members, shift leaders, restaurant managers, area coaches, and franchise operations leaders.
- Define global standards for training content, delivery methods, and execution in partnership with Yum!, sister Brands, and franchise leaders.
- Lead the development of scalable, role-based learning journeys for key restaurant and business roles.
Program Design & Content Evolution
- Oversee the creation of high-impact training programs tailored to the restaurant environment, such as onboarding, product training, service skills, and leadership readiness.
- Modernize training through the use of digital tools, mobile-first platforms, microlearning, simulations, AI, and in-store coaching models.
- Benchmark programs against sister brands and QSRs and adopt ideas, tools, and resources to ensure world-class learning experiences.
Employee Voice & Insights
- Partner with L&D COE to execute annual employee engagement surveys
- Partner with Ops to translate insights into actionable strategies that improve the TM experience and drive business outcomes.
Operational Integration & Franchise Enablement
- Partner with Global Operations and Market Support teams to ensure training prepares the system for brand initiatives, and operations priorities.
- Support system-wide initiatives with training solutions, including talent pipeline readiness, new market openings, and reimage/rebuild projects.
- Work closely with global market teams to localize and implement training while protecting global standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic thought partner in training and development to senior leaders across functions and geographies.
- Lead management efforts related to TM experience and capability initiatives.
- Represent the voice of the employee in global forums and decision-making bodies.
Org Development COE Partnership
- Act as a brand liaison with L&D COE on Global Mentorship programs
- Act as brand liaison with L&D COE on Functional Competency Frameworks
What You Bring to the Table:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Training
- 10+ years of progressive HR or Learning experience, including global scope.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing employee experience and learning strategies.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in QSR, retail, or hospitality industries.
